About the symposium

Organisations and businesses have to put the customer’s voice first.  At the same time one only needs to look at businesses to know that technology has given customers a platform to voice their opinion and exchange their stories, but how can a company adapt to this? What should a business focus on and how will the customer experience evolve?

In recent years the internet, technology and digitalisation have evolved to such an extent that it has become obligatory for companies to consider them in their strategies. In addition to this, sustainability is becoming ever more important. These developments have meant that not only customer contact and services but also products have changed. What does a customer currently expect and how is this going to change in the next 10 or even 40 years?

This Symposium will bring together companies, customers and young professionals to learn, discuss and share information about key aspects of customer experience. We want to focus on the circular economy, product development, customer satisfaction and other global trends that are likely to shape the coming decades.

Programme

The symposium will take place at the congress centre of Tata Steel IJmuiden. Prior to the event, a site visit to our Hot Strip Mill is arranged for young professionals of other companies. Those who have signed up for this tour are requested to arrive at 8.15. Other participants may arrive at 10.00 and collect their badges at the registration counter.

The symposium will start at 10.30 with a welcome note followed by plenary and interactive sessions. For the interactive sessions, participants will be randomly divided over these sessions. You will find your interactive session in your personal scheme at the website (after login). After the interactive sessions a panel discussion led by Joris Luyendijk will take place. The event will close at 16.40 with time for networking and socializing.
